Zimbambwe’s musician, Jah Prayzah, will perform with a full band in the country and not a CD, organisers, Agulugufe Twelve Thousand, have said.

Jah Prayzah will perform at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on December 23 and then Blantyre Sports Club on December 24.
“Jah Prayzah will be performing live with a full band,” Emmanuel Maliro, one of the partners, said.

Maliro said the Zimbabwean musician has promised nothing but the best during the two shows.

“We have put these two shows because we want to give people maximum entertainment which they have not had for some time,” he said.

The two gigs will cost people K10,000 for standard tickets and K25,000 VIP.

Maliro also said that there will be maximum security during the two shows.

“These are family shows and this is why we are putting in place security measures so that people should not experience any difficulties on the day,” Maliro said.

He said the two shows were also part of giving people an early Christmas treat.

Jah Prayzah will share the stage with Lulu and Lawi, who recently launched his latest album Sunset in the Sky and reggae group Black Missionaries.

Born Mukudzeyi Mukombe, Jah Prayzah is a contemporary musician and lead member of the band Third Generation.

According to available information, Jah Prayzah is popularly referred to as Musoja, the Shona word for soldier.

This is a name he earned mostly because of his signature band uniform of military regalia.

The name Jah Prayzah comes from his name, Mukudzei, which means Praise Him.

His albums include Kutonga Kwaro, Mdhara Vachauya, Jerusarema and Kumbumura Mhute.
