It was all smiles for James Banda and his family when Integrated ICT and mobile service provider, TNM handed over a grand prize of K1 million as a lucky winner of Mother’s Day promotion.Banda emerged the grand winner of Mother’s Day promotion aimed at celebrating with mothers this year, but was not immediately available soon after the final draw in November.
Banda expressed happiness with the prize describing it as life changing to his family.
“I’m very excited to receive K1 million from TNM today. I will share part of the money to my mother just to appreciate her love and the remaining will buy fertilizer as you know I’m a farmer, “said Banda.
Speaking during a cheque presentation at Mponela trading centre in Dowa TNM’s Head of Lilongwe Region, David Nyirenda hailed customers for the overwhelming participation in the promotion.
“The presentation of this K1 million grand prize underscores our commitment to improve the lives of our customers who are always with us. Through this promotion TNM has made a direct contribution towards improving the livelihoods of its customer’s families and the communities they leave in,” Nyirenda said.
Nyirenda said the company is committed to remain relevant by commemorating special days such as Mother’s Day with its subscribers.
“Going forward, TNM pledges to continue working towards improving the lives of its customers by providing tailor-made products and services and also bringing promotions that can changes the lives of people like Mr Banda,” he said.
Launched on October 4, 2017 Mother’s Day Promotion aimed to celebrate with mothers and customers.
Apart from K1 million grand prize the company has also given out MK250,000.00 to four customers each and airtime at the end of promotion.
To stand a chance to win different prizes and customers were required to simply send an SMS the word “Mother” or “Amayi” to code 2020 at a cost of K50.
The promotion ended on October 31, 2017.
